Henry's interest in avalanches started with a close call in the French Alps. His attraction to the mountains began as a young ski racer in Vermont, USA.

When he came to Europe and discovered the glory of off-piste skiing, his ability far exceeded his knowledge of mountain safety. This dangerous combination almost cost him his life.

However, the off-piste bug and the freedom of the mountains had already gone to his heart. He went back to the United States to study avalanche forecasting and continue outdoor pursuits, but the obsession with Europe remained. Henry is a fully certified ski instructor (French Diploma), has a degree in international business and over ten years of professional experience in the mountains.
